Abstract
Bu araştırma, 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin çevreye ilişkin algılarını tespit etme amacıyla gerçekleştirilen nitel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma Konya ili Selçuklu ilçesindeki bir ilkokulun 4. sınıfına devam eden on iki öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşme yönteminin tercih edildiği bu araştırmada görüşme formu yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analizden ve ağırlıklı olarak içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Betimsel analizde veriler özetlenerek yorumlanırken; içerik analizinde ise veriler incelenerek ana temalar belirlenmiş, kodlar oluşturulmuş ve kodlara ilişkin f ve % değerleri tablolarda düzenlenerek sunulmuştur. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda öğrencilerin çevreyi insanların yaşadığı yer olarak algıladığı ve bu nedenle yaşadıkları çevrenin önemli olduğunu düşündükleri ve de yaşadıkları çevrede rahatsız edici unsur olarak çöpleri algıladıkları tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin insanların bilinçsiz olmalarından dolayı çevreyi kirlettiklerini düşündükleri ve de bu sorunun insanların bilgilendirilmesi yoluyla çözülebileceğini önerdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ise varılabilecek düşüncelere yer verilerek, bu alanda yapılabilecek çalışmalara katkı sağlaması ümidiyle çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
this research, is a qualitative study which is carried out in order to determine the perceptions of the four grade students about environment. The research is carried out with twelve students who are at fifth grade in a primary school in Selçuklu town of Konya city. The interview form approach is used in the research in which the interview method is preferred. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis and mainly content analysis were utilized. While the data are interpreted with being summarized in the descriptive analysis; the main themes are fixed by examining the data, the codes were created and the f and % values of the codes are presented in tables. In line with the research findings, it is fixed that the students perceive the environment as the place where people live, the students think that the environment is important for this reason, they see the wastes as disturbing factors. Also, it is fixed that they think that people pollute the environment because of their unconsciousness and they suggest that this problem can be resolved with by educating the people. At the end of the article by mentioning about the probable considerations, various suggestions are made with the hope of contributing to liable works in this area.
